How I Managed To Stop My Panic Attacks
I had my first panic attack in June 2005 while I was in lift and I was alone. After that my life changed completely. It came out of nowhere and the experience was more terrifying than anything I could have imagined. I had heard about panic attacks before, but like most people who have never had one before, I never
really understood what a horrifying experience this is.
I experienced all the common symptoms - chest pains, shortness of breath, tingling sensations, an intense fear of impending doom and a very surreal feeling of unreality, which I later discovered was called "depersonalization". The physical symptoms was very scary, but this feeling of unreality was the
thing that scared me the most. After this first experience I had an intense fear of having another panic attack, which is exactly what caused the next one to happen a few days later. This cycle of fear continued and developed into a generalized anxiety disorder that severely affected my quality of life for the
next couple of years. All of a sudden ordinary things like going to the movies, sitting in a restaurant or talking in a meeting at work became scary experiences for me and it took a lot of courage to try and fight this fear that threatened to consume me.
I consulted doctors and attained different alternative treatments but never got permanent relief from panic attack. Unfortunately, I was not aware of step by step program like like Panic Away back then, so it took me years to recover from this.
I also did a lot of research online to look for answers. To make a long story short - eventually I figured out that the only way to get rid of my panic attacks and general anxiety disorder is to stop being afraid of it. This was easier said than done and it took a couple of years to accomplish, but
eventually things started to improve and today I am almost back to the way I was before my first panic attack. Looking back now, I realize that through trial and
error I accomplished this with a combination of the Linden Method and the "One Move Technique" from the
Panic Away program.
Since then I have done a lot of research into anxiety and panic attacks and I started this website to help others who struggle with this on a daily basis. I know what a major impact panic and anxiety attacks can have on someone's life and I hope that this website will help you find the quickest way back to living
a normal life again.

principle that if you extinguish the fuel that powers the panic attack, you eliminate its reoccurrence.
